In this area there are buttons that deal mainly with color, image.
What distinguishes a "big" camera from a smartphone besides the size of the sensor and interchangeable lenses? Lack of GPU. We decided to change the concept, to move away from the common approach, when on smartphones everything is mixed in a bunch.
We separated the RAW sensor signal and GPU image processing, and put each type of processing under a separate button.
The "big" cameras try to make the most of the sensor's capabilities, getting the best possible quality. Subsequent image processing takes place on the computer, where the GPU comes into play.
In our case, the GPU is both good and bad.
The disadvantages are that the GPU increases the load many times over, GPU deprives us of recording in 10-bit color depth.
Recording video in RAW is not available, which means that the material will be compressed with a 4:2:0 sub-sampling codec. Image processing through the GPU gives the opportunity to process the 4:4:4 signal before compression by the codec. Those who want to get a finished picture, those who do not have a device that records with 10-bit color depth, it makes sense to try to get additional benefit from signal processing through the GPU.
Once again reminde about the load. The GPU requires a lot of resources. So please evaluate the capabilities of your mobile device adequately.
