Applies to signing in and checking your licence in the mcpro24fps programs for Windows: mcpro24fps RAW Converter and the mcpro24fps import module for Adobe Premiere Pro, Media Encoder and After Effects. The module is installed together with the converter, and signing in for the module opens the converter's Account window. What each program does with your recordings is described in its own policy (for the converter, in the Privacy Policy for mcpro24fps RAW Converter).
1. Who we are
Controller: CHANTAL PRO SIA. Registration number: 40103332030. VAT: LV40103332030. Address: Bebru iela 16–34, Jēkabpils, Jēkabpils nov., LV-5201, Latvia. Contact: info@mcpro24fps.com.
2. When the programs go online
Converting recordings and opening them in Adobe programs needs a mcpro24fps account with RAW Bundle, the purchase made in the mcpro24fps camera app for Android, or its free trial. To find out whether you have it, the programs contact our licence server api.mcpro24fps.com in two situations only: when you sign in, and about once a day afterwards while one of them is running. For your account they contact nothing else. The converter installed from our website also checks for updates; that check sends no account data and is described in the Privacy Policy for mcpro24fps RAW Converter. There is no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising and no analytics library.
If you never sign in, the programs make no network connections for your account. Playback in the converter works without an account.
3. How you sign in
The Sign in with Google and Sign in with HUAWEI ID buttons open the provider's own page in your web browser. You sign in there, not in our program. The provider then tells our server your email address and the identifier it uses for your account in our app. For Google we accept only an email address that Google has confirmed. We never see your password, and no sign-in token reaches the program on your computer. An account without an email address cannot be used, because the licence is tied to the email address.
Your account with us is your email address. The same address is the same account whichever provider you sign in with: on the phone it can be Google, HUAWEI ID, a Samsung account or VK ID, on the computer Google or HUAWEI ID. If you bought RAW Bundle with one address and sign in on the computer with another, they are two different accounts to us.
4. What a program sends
When you sign in: a random installation ID, created the first time and kept for your Windows user on this computer; which of our programs is asking; and the public half of a key created on this computer. If the computer has a TPM security chip, the key is made inside the chip and its private half never leaves it; otherwise the program generates the key itself. The public key says nothing about your hardware.
When it checks your licence: the device secret that our server issued when you signed in, the installation ID, a random value from our server and one from the program, and a signature made with this computer's key. The signature shows that the request really comes from the computer you signed in on, so a copied sign-in does not work elsewhere.
Never sent: your recordings, file names and folders, anything about your projects or Adobe programs, the name of your computer, your Windows user name, or hardware serial numbers. Like any internet connection, a request shows our server the IP address it came from.
5. What our server does and keeps
The server answers with a signed statement of your RAW Bundle status: bought, free trial until a date, or none. The 7-day free trial is the same one as in the phone app. It is shared, starts on your first sign-in on either device, and is given once per email address. You cannot buy anything in the programs on your computer; RAW Bundle is bought in the mcpro24fps app on Android through Google Play or Huawei AppGallery.
RAW Bundle can be used on up to three computers per account at the same time. One Windows user on one machine counts as one computer. The programs list your computers (date activated and date of the last check, nothing else) and let you sign out on one of them to free its place. Phones are counted separately.
Stored on our server (the same server and database as for the phone app, hosted in the European Union): your email address, the sign-in provider and its account identifier, the dates of your free trial with the keyed hash that records that the trial was used, your purchase records, and for each computer you sign in on: a one-way hash of its device secret (not the secret itself), its public key and whether it is kept in a TPM, the installation ID, which program signed in, and the dates it was activated, last checked and signed out. The server also logs each sign-in and each refused check: time, email address, outcome and IP address.
6. What stays on your computer
The programs keep the sign-in in Windows Credential Manager, under generic credentials whose names start with mcpro24fps/account/: the installation ID, the device secret with this computer's key, and the server's last signed answer. If the key lives in the TPM, what is stored is a copy wrapped by that chip, useless on any other computer. Windows encrypts these entries for your user account.
All mcpro24fps programs of your Windows user share these entries, so one sign-in covers the converter and the Adobe module. Uninstalling a program does not remove them, so a reinstall does not take a new place. Sign out on this computer in the program removes the sign-in and frees the place on our server. You can also delete the entries yourself in Windows Credential Manager.
After a successful check the programs work for 14 days without a connection (during the free trial, until it ends). The time counts on your computer's clock from the last answer.
7. Sign-in providers
Providers and what reaches them
| Service | What reaches it | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Google Sign-In | what you enter on Google's page; Google sends us your email address and account ID | sign in on a computer |
| HUAWEI Account Kit | what you enter on Huawei's page; Huawei sends us your email address and HUAWEI ID identifier | sign in on a computer |
The sign-in page is the provider's, in your browser, under the provider's privacy policy: Google — policies.google.com/privacy; Huawei — consumer.huawei.com/en/privacy. Signing in with VK ID or a Samsung account is not available on computers yet.
8. Legal basis
Performance of the contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR: the licence cannot be delivered without identifying the account. For the computer limit, the signatures and the log, our legitimate interest in the security of the licence service, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
9. How long data is kept
Account data and purchase records are kept as described in the Privacy Policy for the mcpro24fps Android app, section 6: until you ask us to delete them, or 3 years after the last request, whichever comes first, with the statutory accounting period for purchase records. Computer records are kept with your account, including signed-out ones, and are deleted together with it.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and you may complain to the Latvian supervisory authority, Datu valsts inspekcija (dvi.gov.lv), or to the authority where you live. Write to info@mcpro24fps.com from the email address you signed in with; we answer within 30 days. Deleting your account (page Account and Data Deletion — mcpro24fps, /account-deletion-mcpro24fps) also deletes your computers.
11. Children
The programs are professional tools and are not directed at children under 13.
12. Changes to this policy
If what the programs send or what we keep changes, this page will be changed before that version is published, and the change will be described in the release notes.
